Food Trailer was Popular

The Optimist Club Food trailer was one of the most popular attractions at the Aberfoyle Fall Fair. Only part of the line up is shown. It didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect.

OPTIMIST CLUB of PUSLINCH AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS for 2009

Don McKay

The Optimist Club of Puslinch has once again awarded scholarships to assist youth and families of the Township of Puslinch with educational expenses and to promote the Club as an organization committed to the advancement of education. This year two scholarships of $1500 were awarded for the 2009-2010 school year. This is the 8th year that the Club has offered the scholarship program.  Commencing this year the scholarships were split into two streams. One scholarship was awarded to the student who is pursuing a university or community college degree. This year’s recipient is Mr. Bryce Jackson. The second scholarship was awarded to a student who is pursuing a vocational-technical degree/diploma. This year’s recipient is Ms Haleigh Monks.

As in the past the selection committee had a difficult time given the high caliber of applications from the youth of Puslinch.

The Optimist Club wishes to thank all those who submitted applications and wish them well in their careers.
